Plan Your Visit

We Welcome you to Reasoning Tree Church

Visiting a new church can feel like stepping into the unknown. At Reasoning Tree Church in Edinburg, Virginia, we want your first step to feel like coming home. We are a thoughtful, Scripture-centered church community where honest questions are welcomed, worship is heartfelt, and people of every age and background are invited to grow in faith. This page will help you plan a relaxed, meaningful visit so you can focus on what matters most – worshipping God and fellowshipping with other Christians.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

A warm welcome. Expect friendly greeters at the door and people who genuinely want to meet you. You’ll find conversation, not pressure.

A clear, Bible-centered service. Our gatherings include congregational singing, Scripture reading, and a practical sermon that points to Christ. Services typically last about 75 minutes.

A relaxed atmosphere. Come as you are – casual dress is common, and families are encouraged to attend together. Our focus is on worship and the Word, not on performance or perfection.

Families and Children

Children are welcome!

Our Approach to Family Worship

At our church, we choose not to offer separate children’s or youth ministries because we believe God has entrusted parents with the primary role of discipling their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Our desire is to come alongside families – not replace them – by equipping parents and creating meaningful opportunities for the whole family to grow in Christ together.

We value intergenerational worship and hold to the historic practice of having children in the service, learning, singing, praying, and growing alongside both the young and the the old.

Throughout the year, we provide whole-family fellowship events and ensure that all ages can serve together in various ministries. We believe this strengthens families, deepens discipleship, and reflects the beautiful unity of Christ’s church.

This emphasis is supported first by our own experience and by research which shows that children who engage with adults are more likely to remain in church as they grow up than children who are always segregated from their parents during worship time.

We are also actively engaged in strengthening the family through our Roots Homeschool Co-op which meets monthly providing fellowship and activities for multiple ages.

Accessibility and Hospitality

Accessibility
We provide wheelchair-accessible entrances and seating. If you need additional accommodations—hearing assistance, mobility support, or a quiet space—tell us ahead of time or speak with a greeter when you arrive.

First-time visitor support
If you’d like a personal welcome, a short orientation, or someone to show you where things are, we’ll connect you with a volunteer who can help. After the service we often offer a brief welcome conversation so you can ask questions and learn about next steps.

How to Plan Your Visit in Three Simple Steps

  1. Choose a service. Pick Sunday at 10:30 AM or Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
  2. Tell us you’re coming. Use our quick contact form or call so we can welcome you by name and prepare for any childcare or accessibility needs.
  3. Arrive a little early. Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before the service to park, meet a greeter, and settle in.

Tip: If you’d like to watch a sermon first, our sermon archive is available on our website so you can get a sense of our teaching style before you visit.
